» Lance a dit : « Oui ».

So after their last attempt to prove armstrong was on something other than his bike that ended with armstrong being exonerated, L'Equipe is at it again.

(to be published in the sat june 24th edition)

Lance Armstrong, seven time winner of the tour de france, has allegedly admitted to have used illegal performance enhancing drugs. These accussations have been made by people close to Armstrong during a judicial hearing in the united states.

During a judicial hearing on 25th October 2005 between Armstrong and an insurance company SCA, Betsy Andreu, wife of cyclist Frank Andreu (known to be armstrong's best friend) stated under oath:

(the scene took place on the 28th October 1996 in a hospital in Indianapolis. Armstrong just learned that he had cancer.) "The doctor asked him a few questions, not many, and among them, one of the questions was "Have you ever used performance enhancing drugs?" Lance said "Yes." The doctor asked "Which ones" to which armstrong answered "Human growth hormones, cortisone, EPO, steroides and testosterone."

The american cyclist had also allegedly threatened Greg Lemond and payed to escape a positive test. L'Equipe Magazine will, on saturday, expose testimony and eye witness accounts.

They (L'Equipe) just can't stand that an American won the Tour so many times and feel they must discredit him somehow, someway.

Lance has consistently said he used these drugs to recover from cancer. L'Equipe is just trying to drum up circulation at his expense.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Bingo! At most, a spouse, parent or guardian (if a minor patient) might be present, with the patient's request, or exceptional circumstances in an emergency setting, but that doesn't apply here.

It appears though that the translation is that on the day Lance A. was diagnosed with cancer, he admitted using a number of substances. This would not be for recovery from cancer. The implication is that he was a cheater BEFORE he got cancer ( back when his results were mediocre)

And that using those substances may be related with his testicles cancer? Impossible! It musy be just a coincidence
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

The translation doesn't say anything about that link.

Although there are some that believe that there is something about radiation and chemo that can cause long term impacts that led to Armstrong becoming what he was

Armstrong himself claims that it changed him as a cyclist sicne he lost so much muscles mass that he went from being a muscled big-gearmasher to the much leaner spinner that was so successful

The argument against Lance generally has always included the idea that NO ONE can be that dominant in any sport and be clean

Notwithstanding the Armstrong case I don't want to believe that. I want to believe that sometimes, occassionally, superlative clean performances do happen

Just stating that some people question the "independent" review that people claim exonerated him.

I think the real deal on Armstrong wasn't that he was so "dominant" but that he spent virtually his entire training year to peak for the tour, and he had a good number of talented teammates to shield and shelter him and help him conserve energy until those few stages where he was ready to cut loose.

I wouldn't consider Armstrong to be anything near the cyclist Merckx was - Merckx took on anybody, anywhere, and fought to win virtually every time he rode.
