no it wasn't, as of now, their are no reports of any "motherload". Most of these shells have been found in various ammo dumps, in various degrees of degradation, across Iraq.

The only reason this old news is popping up now is because of the upcomming election. The Republican Party always does this. It finds some concerned citizen with a pro-Republican cause, then either gives them money or pulls some strings to get them on the news and then organizes a "grassroots" campaign for the "truth." (edit: Was going to make some more type statements about backroom dealing and Faux News, but then I remembered the whole publicity thing was probably triggered by a well-known Republican Senator holding a press-conference.)
