Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

This isn't the 30th thread (nor the porn thread for that matter)

Well it appears that Portugal are doing their part as they lead mexico 2:1 . It must be nice for Angola to have their own fate in their hands for the moment but the Mexico game will be irrelevant if Angola doesn't pump a couple of goals by the keeper .
Angola has a big problem in that they trailed by 3 on goal difference coming in . Add to that the fact that they currently trail on goals for by 4-0 and its starting to look promising for the mexicans . Angola needs about as many goals as it has had shots on goal ( as of minute 49")

As of right now Mexico is up by 1 on goal differential (Angola = 0; Mexico = +1)

Will these teams want to work hard to win this or not. A loss nets you Portugal and a second round date with England or Ecuador and then later Spain and Brazil likely to be on your side of the draw
First place looks to get you Mexico with a second round matchup with Germany/Sweden and then who knows (groups E and G don't really have an overwhelming favorite-- and the teams that could be more feared are just as likely to finish secon in their group and be on the otehr side of the draw)
If is were me, I'd rest my folks with yellows and anyone injured and field my best squad aside from that and go for the win. If you are a good team I always figure that the best approach is to play as well as you can and let the opponents sort themselves out. If that gets you germany in the quarters so be it.

True but I believe Angola still loses on tie-break even if they tie on goal differential since I understand that goals for is the next criteria and Angola cannot catch up on that one.
So Angola still needs two more favorable scores between the two games
