Stupid central Europeans, learn to respect the different levels of progress with respect towards minorities. It all boils down to Central European ignorance I guess.

The baltic people have been oppressed for decades and now they are trying to build a concept of heterosexual togetherness. The shallow impression of homegenity and unity among the people are more important than anything else at this moment. Just like its with any newly liberated nation. Just wait a decade or two and they'll get over it.

He was the ambassador of the Netherlands, not of the EU.

Besides, Europe is a pretty big place, with quite a bit of diversity. I don't see how anybody could know a generic trait among all EU diplomats (maybe except for the fact that they are likely to be all humans)
