My dad just bought an XPS600. It's big, not too loud but not too quiet. Lots of fans, though.
Decent computer. Pentium Ds aren't the best for gaming, but if you want the support & warranty Dell offers, I guess it's good."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Athlon X2s are better for gaming, or even just single Athlon 64 CPUs.
Dell doesn't sell consumer AMD CPUs, so you'd need to go elsewhere (local shop, HP, etc). You can get extended warranties on everything, but usually Dell's is held in a high regard."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

I bought a Gateway FX510S dual core to play Civ 4 also."And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man." -- JFK Inaugural, 1961

My alternative is to buy a handheld computer to help pass the long, late couple of hours at work. Not much happens from 11:00 PM until the final rush at 1AM...
However, besides seeing a few advertisements for a couple of interesting looking strategy games, I know nothing about handhelds. So, anything anyone knows would be a help...Long time member @ Apolyton
