  • Recommend Mao a Computer Game

For various reasons, I've come into possession of a 10 pound gift card from Game, the UK game retailer. There's a store here in Oxford, but I'm not sure what game(s) I should get. Nothing too spectacular, and I'm not looking to spend more than an additional 10 pounds at most. Anyone have any recommendations? They have a few 3 games for 10 or 3 games for 15 deals, but I'm not sure what games I should get.
Who wants DVDs? Good prices! I swear!

10 pounds? That must be a heavy gift card. How much is on it?

I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn is an excellent game. I bet it's old enough to have an appropriately low price, too.

BGs are great too, if you don't have them, I'd get them.

Panzer General was excellent for its time and ought to be fairly cheap now. The question is, can you always get older games to play on new operation systems. For instance I can't get 'Conquest of the New World' to play on XL.

Of course you could always decide to let your international movement pick the game for you

Of course you should say what genre you´re into

If you like SciFi-Strategy, try to find Master of Orion 2.
For Fantasy-RPGs it´s Baldurs Gate 2, as mentioned by someone before

Well, I came to this site first for strategy games, so in general that's a good bet. FPS is fun sometimes too, so I was looking for Battlefield: Vietnam or somesuch there. Maybe BF2 or CoD?

                        BF2 is good.

But really, you should get Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War bundled with the Winter Assault expansion. Pretty good RTS, less "Tank rush" and more "fighting skirmishes between squads" (Because the resources are specific points on the map, all of the damn place, instead of being localized)

City of Heros or City of Villians. A bit of an older game but seems to be having a resurgance. Quite fun.
