  • Hurricane Season: 0-1

Tropical Storm Aletta moves away from Mexico
This year's first named storm is moving out to sea......or towards Florida, depending on your point of view.

A couple of nights ago, I saw some weathercasters saying this years' storms were going to be concentrated on the U.S.'s Atlantic Coast. Apparently Aletta doesn't watch T.V.

ABC had a radio special this morning about how a cat 3 hurricane could hit New York.

"In Apoc, I had one soldier who lasted through the entire game... was pretty cool. I like apoc for that reason, the soldiers are a bit more 'personal'." - General Ludd

I must be the only one about to be bored senseless by these recurring hurricane threads.

          Probably true.

Florida has not recovered from the hurricanes two years ago. New Orleans, the Gulf Coast and the American economy haven't recovered from last year's hurricanes.

In contrast, Denmark doesn't get his with a lot of hurricanes.

Guess Aletta heard that Che was back home.

Is it a serious one or just a bit windy ?

But do we need to have threads, sometimes multiple threads, on every single Atlantic tropical storm that gets within 400 miles of the U.S., no matter how mundane?

Plus it strangely reminds me of Disney's Three Little Pigs. Always stick to Porky's house, or whatever the smart one is called in English.

Winston, if you think that they are so boresome, how come you not only read them, but even bother to write something in them ?

Why don't you just sit down and stare at the place where your telly would be ?

Right now, it's just a tropical storm but it is heading out into the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico

                    The Hurricanes are up 3-2.

I'm trying to induce moderation in creating those pointless hurricane threads, providing for an enhanced forum experience for all.

I really don't see the need for a new thread every time a plastic cup is blown off a table somewhere in the U.S. Nor for another announcing the situation has now been upgraded to a 20% chance that it will happen again in that very same county over the weekend.

No need to worry -- Aletta is in the Pacific, not the Gulf.
