  • Netflix question - ordering multi-disc sets

Hey gang. Wifey and I were going to catch up on some sf series - she wants me to watch ST: Voyager and I want to expose her to Babylon 5. Because our local video stores don't carry either series in full, we'll have to go through Netflix. A given season may consist of 7 or 8 DVDs, but when you order it on Netflix you just indicate "Voyager season 1." Does anyone know if they would send all the DVDs for a season in one shot, or only one at a time with the risk of getting them out of order?

They send them one at a time, in order.

A K said, if there are 7 disks, they send you the first 3, or 5, or whatever your plan dictates. Then you get new ones as you sned the old ones in. You should see in your queue which disks are coming next.

Thanks for the info, KH & GP. I've signed up and Voyager is in my queue. Depending on how swiftly the DVDs arrive I may just cancel my membership at Hollywood Video.

Good luck with the throttling. I think getting tv series triggered it for me, since each is usually 4-6 disks and we tend to burn through them once they arrive.

The only problems I've encountered is that sometimes disks are sent from different shipping facilities, so disk 2 (which shipped from a local facility) will arrive a couple days before disk 1 (which shipped from the west coast).

I haven't rented from Blockbuster or Hollywood Video in about two or three years (except playstation games, because I've heard nothing but bad reviews about Gamefly).
