  • Land Speed Record - a mountain wins!

A mountain near the Montana-Wyoming border once moved 62 miles in a half-hour in a catastrophic scenario that could be repeated elsewhere, scientists say.
Apparently massive movements and events can take place on the earth's surface extraordinarily quickly if these scientists can be believed.

124 mph is a speed record? Eh, no.

A decidedly uninteresting (and probably erroneous) point (difficult to tell since the link isn't working).

Unless of course, you're trying to say something. What would be your point in posting something like this? What are you trying to demonstrate?

The link gets borked for some reason. Just delete the "%20".

I've heard of police clocking trees at a variety of speeds. I guess its true what they say about life passing you by.

                    Thought so

I'd still be interested in his train of thought to see exactly how a fast-moving mountain supports his position. Would be quite amusing to see him spout some convoluted "logic".

I read the story on the BBC I think, about a week ago. I thought it was a bit odd.

Anyway, I found a definitive proof that it must surely have happened:

I find it interesting, and think some of you would if you were to look around and see a mountain rushing towards you.

Kuci probably hasn't seen a mountain in his entire life, let alone walked around one or anything.

He's a spoiled suburban yank brat.
