DaShi, surely Sun Shuyan cannot be resident inside China saying things like "Communism is about hate." Where does she live?

BTW, when I was growing up it was common knowledge that Stalin and Mao were the greatest mass murderers in history, making Hitler look almost like an amatuer in comparison. Somehow, the recently educated don't seem to know this at all.

Historically western historians almost as a united whole were at least as nationalistic loonies as what we are seeing in the OP. Cleaning that up took a lot of masochistic revisionism and massive efforts to scour obscure primary historical sources.

because it's bollocks. Hitler easily ranks in the same class as Mao and stalin.

Probably you were remembering anti-red hysterical historical revisionism.

Err, yeah, 9 million exterminated in camps and a few million more massacred in the field is hardly amateurish... but it is only half of Stalin's purges and a fifth of Mao's.

so? the third reich simply didn't last as long as Stalin or Mao's regimes. It's absurd to suggest that Hitler was somehow less genocidal than Stalin or Mao.

Nobody I know (besides Serb) disagrees that Stalin and Mao were the bigesst butchers in history. The Holocaust was the biggest GENOCIDE is history.
