Or maybe they recovered the hand from saddam who kept it as a souvenir? That would make it even easier to shake.

      ahem
There was no large scale Nazi resistance to occupation. Period.

Which is why they turned all the corners pretty quickly in Germany.

As far as Iraq goes, I have a feeling that if we keep turning corners, we might just end up full-circle with a new Saddamite in power. And boy, won't god be displeased with that~ Iraq'll just turn into this place, only with less water and more oil.

The Sunni Triangle is oriented the wrong way, though. It's upside-down. Maybe they're trying to make a statement with that.

During the newsconference yesterday, Bush mangled a few paragraphs. I think he was really, really tired.

It's sad to see the man in such straights, actually.

                True.

Also, don't you find it just a bit amuzing that the people of "compassion," the left, glory in the struggles of Bush to speak an unmangled sentence? If it were Clinton who was tired and worn out, they would be full of compassion for the man. But if he is a Republican, no way.

Ah... huh? The left speak of "compassion," do they? Have you forgotten about that "compassionate conservative" Bush slogan?

It seems like you just attribute random things to the left and/or Democrats an use them as a baseline of criticism - criticism which, as a matter of course, is pure conjecture anyway.

Also, since we're on pedantry, you misspelled "amusing."

Perhaps. But I think it is increasingly clear that the so-called "compassionate" conservatives are really liberals who should have no place in the Republican party. See the thread I just started on this called "WAR."

Republicans as well as Democrats display hypocrisy. I just like to needle the left as much as I can as I view the left as conceited, pompous and self righteous, primarily because they view themselves as "compassionate."

                        #1 Clinton understood English.

#2 Bush screws up the language whether or not he's tired. The man's an idiot. Every single one of his businesses failed. Both governments he's run have ended up deep in the red.

Obviously there must be something wrong with German democracy if they didn't send any troops to Iraq. Like he said, "You're either with us or against us in the fight against terror."

That was directed at Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, both of whom had been backing the Taliban.

Isn't that a little harsh? The rest of the world can hardly say they are without sin.
