Alternatively you can note that the mass composition of gasoline is ~85% carbon
0.85 * 6.1 lbs * (44/12) = 19.02 lbs
44/12 is to take into account the fact that the gasoline contributes 12 g (1 mole of carbon) to every 44 g (1 mole of CO2) put out by the reaction. The rest comes from atmospheric oxygen.12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET
