most of the 100 identified strains of HPV are hameless. Chances are at least some people here have caught it and are unware. However, almost all cases of cervical cancer in women are thought to have been caused by HPV. If you've recently seen ads on american tv spreading the word about the HPV cancer risk, its because Merck has developed a vaccine and wants to scare people into buying it...HPV is by far the most common sexually transmitted infection. It is said to be the causeative agent for over 99% of cervical cancers. It is estimated that 80% of sexually active adults have been infected with one or more genital HPV strains at some time.[1] The vast majority of infected people suffer no ill effects and never even know that they have been infected, but may be able to infect others.

I probably have HPV but who really knows.
I don't see what is wrong with getting the HPV vaccines. It really is the cause of all cervical cancer. It should be one of the vaccines you get at birth actually. I've known two girls who have gotten it because of rapes."Yay Apoc!!!!!!!" - bipolarbear

They could have gotten it from any sexual encounter they ever had. indeed its always there. Ive had it for little over a year, havent had an outbreak since the primary. you can still spread it even if you dont show symptoms (thanks you mother****ing valtrex mother****ers for making people even more wary of it than before)
