But the 1830s are gone, and the Netherlands are different
Belgium is probably the most left-wing country in the world, even more than the Scandinavian countries (though you couldn't tell from our election results, but then again our liberals and christian-democrats are rather left-wing when compared to their foreign brethren).

So why the hell would we want to join with the Netherlands, with the conservative likes of Balkenende?

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

Nice place btw - you can't get carlsberg or tuborg, but who cares when they have budweiser in the tabs ? (no , not the american industrial waste but real Budějovice premium and dark lager). And their collection of bottled beers - yummy.

On topic - isn't Belgium (in)famous for their weapon industry ?
I'm in shock - I agree 100% with Black Cat...

                        One of Europe's smallest flags.

                        One of Europe's shortest coastlines.

Why, in some respects they're even more insignificant than us. For that alone, I say we keep them.

Austria doesn't even have a coastline at all.
