Turks obviously learned well to place organizational blame to their hated neighbours and receiver-of-emigrants during the past year.

Think about all the German girls, ladies and grandmothers who won't have the luck to meet me because of all those restrictions on ticket sale

I think Ned means the secret programme to increase Germany's birth rate by inserting imported seed in German women.

I wanted to go but that whole ticket lottery system just annoyed me so much that I didn't even try. And since my second son/first daughter will be born around then , I won't go anywhere.
(My first son was born on the day of Germany-USA during the last WC. During the match, I just said: "Honey, I'll be right back, seems that there's nothing moving as of yet. But let them call me if it's coming." Honestly, that was about how it went and my g/f had full understanding. There wasn't much I could do, she got along pretty well and the baby really didn't come until hours later)

I am not sure that the resale mechanism is broken. Some of my friends were able to purchase some tickets this way:

FIFA getting into the scalping business itself?

Unfortunately, the supply of tickets will be constrained in Germany (the venues are rather smallish). If there weren't restrictions on trading tickets, people would probably complain that they were being gouged.

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. As non-European I would also try to purchase complete TST-Series: http://tickets.fifaworldcup.com/cgi-...wme&key=wm_tst

I was going to make a thread on it, but since a search came up with this thread, I'll use it.

actually I just found this quote funny. shouldn't it say women?

"Together we will stop at nothing to end the debasement of our fellow men," she said.

                          I'm leaving Germany tomorrow.

Too bad my job didn't work out (the ****ing client decided to postpone the entire operation to October ), but at elast I won't have to endure a crowded Stuttgart.

OTOH, I must admit that I'd have enjoyed spending June 13th here in Stuttgart, so that I could hang out with the French expat community, watching the Swiss getting their arses kicked in this very city

Basically, it's mostly criticism on the business of prostitution, which is seen as exploitative and as hurting basic human dignity, even when legal. Also, my group has trouble imagining that 40,000 women were really free into becoming prostitutes.
The German state is criticized because it contributed made a thriving WC-related prostitution business possible, not because it directly forced 40,000 women into prostitution.

I might still try and get some tickets for that mini stadium erected in the heart of Berlin.

It has only screens and no real footy field, but it's Kult
