          Tell me kind sir, what did the good people of Texas do with their saint when as governor of the state of Texas he refused to go along with secession from the Union 25 years later?

                My father's family is from there. Actually they are from germany. Okay Utah is a weird place to move to. But germans are weird, what can I say.

                                IIRC Sam Houston was thrown in prison after attempting to use his power as governor to prevent Texas from seceding.
