This is a little off topic for the OP, but what are those differences specifically that you have noticed? How many people attend the class? Is it considered an undergrad-level class or a grad-level class that you have been able to finagle yourself into?
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. The Uni? It's grad-level. The course is also grad-level.

What are the differencies, everything is a bit different. I'd say all the differencies are cultural. Nothing truly shocking or something that would make a huge difference, just mostly cultural things.

For some reason, I thought you were undergrad. My bad.

Also, how many people attend the class?

HOw many attend THAT particular class? Maybe 20... it's a smaller class.

Usually.. depends on the course, but can be A LOT. This is particularly small class.

Well, what was supposed to be a quick meet, like 15 minutes, ended up being an hour and 15 minutes and it was me who had to cut it short and go for other things, I guess it woudl have gone forever. We talked about the subject in general, and we never even really got to the .. thing itself. It was quite fun actually, and he is urging me to pursue this thing. I guess I'll give my shot, if the research suggestions turns out to be golden, I will have to change my major in order to really pursue this (but stay in comp sci still).

Now I have huge pressure beucase I have to come up with an excellent paper and it has to be perfect. I can't come up with half assed work now, not anymore. Oh boy..
