Yeah, but "hidden subsidies" can't get you to a buck a gallon.
What I mean is that a lack of those are (basically) hidden subsidies compared to 1st world countries. Ie, they aren't playing on the same level playing field on this thing.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Do you guys not remember the lesson I got earlier...About the market being global, because it were cheaper one place, it would just be bought and transported?

"I thought you must be dead ..." he said simply. "So did I for a while," said Ford, "and then I decided I was a lemon for a couple of weeks. A kept myself amused all that time jumping in and out of a gin and tonic."

And what I mean is that none of these factors explain enough of the difference on their own. The fact that oil/gas are subsidised does.

Yeah, we all remember giving you that one.
Now write a 1 page essay on what sort of laws are likely in place in an area where fuel is subsidised to prevent exportation of subsidised fuel.
Nooo, I'm talking about the green countries where it isn't subsidized...

An overseas buyer, Kaak, isn't gonna get the subsidized price. Further, extra demand (buying in bulk for transport & resale in the US) will drive up the price. Then tack on the cost of transporting it. Then my earlier comments re: cost of business here still apply, as do gas taxes.
Which green countries would those be? I already told you that your geography or colour sense is off because Azerbaijan is yellow, while Tajikistan is operating under subsidised imports from Russia, and probably has some sort of reexport restrictions against them

Oh yeah, I forgot how buying in bulk makes it more expensive. I wonder if wal-mart knows that?

That was crude oil and its generally true -- (and is true for anywhere a tanker can reach)--
