    So now we get to spend a ton of money rebuilding a city that is going to be largely destroyed again by another flood sometime in the not too distant future. Rather than facing a bit of heat from the residents of the city the Feds have decided to endanger them further by looking the other way. Not only that, but the Feds are going to underwrite the whole second drowing of N.O. by offering cheap insurance. Absolutely pathetic.

    {sarcasm}

    Racist.

    Just trying to keep 'em down, man.

    You should be ashamed.

    Those poor people just want their houses.

    Good article, Sik, and I agree completely. This sucks.
    The list of published books grows. If you're curious to see what sort of stories I weave out, head to Amazon.com and do an author search for "Christopher Hartpence." Help support Candle'Bre, a game created by gamers FOR gamers. All proceeds from my published works go directly to the project.

            It's a stupid, short-sighted move on the part of not only federal officials, but state and local officials as well.

            The next time a monster hurricane blows through New Orleans, it's going to be hard for me to shed a tear for those people who chose to rebuild in flood-prone areas without taking the proper precautions. And if it does happen, *screw* rebuilding that damned city again.

            The tears are better saved for folks who really deserve it.
