Bought a Sapphire 9800 Pro a couple of years back, basically just a rebranded ATI card. Fan died within a year so I RMAed it and got another one. Fan died on this one so I went and got a Zalman fan for it. The fan bearing had seized up quite nicely. No luck, permanent damage.
I'm now running my trusty old workhorse GeForce DDR, which by all rights should have given up a long time ago but for some reason can still push pixels like the day it came out of the box. Granted, it can't push many (no Civ4 for a while) but at least it isn't an intricately traced piece of landfill fodder by now.
PS Anyone wanna buy a like-new Zalman VF700 heatsink/fan?
