you can't pick up a paper these days without reading about some kind of idocy from the police or whatever, just because some non-white guy is involved doesn't mean it's racism.

You didn't answer my question. Would the same have happened to me?

If you want to call racism, the questions I ask are:

            1) What ethnicity was the Cabbie?
            2) Is Mike Devine also a bit foreign looking and sounding?

In June 2004, Mike Devine, 35, from Bristol, was questioned by Special Branch after he had sent text messages of the lyrics from The Clash's song Tommy Gun. They included the words "gun" and "jet airliner".

Well I'm sure the police will be along to congratulate Stewart Spink for the text messages he has been sending of late

Anyway, Mike Devine is very clearly an Irish name. Hmmmm, Irish, guns, planes . . .

No snakes on a plane here.

                            Clearly.

I was curious as to what your dog comment was meant to mean.

                              It read:

"How about this for Tommy Gun? Ok - So let's agree about the price and make it one jet airliner for ten prisoners."

Clearly the guy was picked on for being 'Irish'.

That no one knew what race he was, so they needed to check. If he's white . . . oh, he's Irish, they're terrorists too!
