The one great American sitcom of the 80s not mentioned here is Night Court. Excellent show, will written with a great ensemble cast -- John Laroquette, Markie Post, and Harry Anderson in the leads. The supporting players, especially the bailiffs, were also hilarious.

Looking at Berz's first post, I gotta say the 70s were really the golden age of the sitcom.

Yeah, I liked Night Court and Cheers and Mash in the 80s.

            "Slow down."

The Episode where Jim has a premonition that Alex will die at 7 pm on thursday while wearing a catchers mask and doing the can-can.

Not to mention the episode where Jim goes with Elaine to the concert then the formal party afterwords.....

            ACK!
            That was funny

Me and my Dad had a very bad falling out when I was 15 and got kicked out of the house. I was a trouble maker. I was watching Taxi one evening and Judd Hirsch came up to Christopher Lloyd and said "How did the meeting with your Dad go? You two havent talked in years, did you ask him anything, to maybe help ease the burden?

Christopher Lloyd paused and said, Yeah I said Dad..Dad..if they call an Orangae an Orange, why dont they call a Banana a Yellow?"

For me, it made me brea down and I ended up calling dad after like 4 years of silence.

To me, that will allways be my favorite show.

              Cheers

I would nominated Cheers as best sitcom of all time, better then Seinfeld in my opinion

Woody: Hey Mr. Peterson, what's up?
Norm: My nipples, it's cold out

The problem with Sledge Hammer is that most right wingers thought it was a documentary.

I'd have ****ed the living daylights out of Doreau, however.

He-he. I suppose I could; they're on display now for the public to see, in a newly built habitat which cost DKK 2.5M (~USD 400K). Let's all hope they live..

The unique gift is of course very much appreciated, not least by the CP couple, who visited the Zoo today to see the little critters.

                            In no particular order:

                            Yes, Minister
                            Cheers
                            Married, with Children

                            Night Court deserves honorable mention.
