Er, hasn't Microsoft just started to actually make money off of the XBox? I thought they were essentially "dumping" them to take over the market. But I don't follow this type of news too closely anyway. Or was that your point? I just assumed you were mocking Nintendo still. Crap, I hope I didn't just MrFun.

But the Revolution is all about the "retarded-ass" controller, as you put it. Remove it, and the system is pretty lame.
I do mind the system. Video games are also tech products and, as such, get obsolete. Graphics, interfaces, the ai, it all gets obsolete.
For my part, I have a wait-and-see attitude towards the controller. Maybe it'll be great, or maybe not. It has a lot of potential for shooters, for example. Don't knock it until you try it.Let us be lazy in everything, except in loving and drinking, except in being lazy – Lessing

nostromo: If I play shooters, it's with a keyboard and mouse. I'm not going to move my hand around in a stupid ghetto-form of aerobics, just to get the target right.
Frankly, what it boils down to is that the only games I would possibly play on a console system are RPGs (FFX, Kingdom Hearts), Puzzle games (Tetris, Katamari Damacy), or very simple, atmospheric action games (Shadow of the Colossus)--none of which require such a controller, and damned if I'm going to mine sword swings with that thing.
Quite simply, I've never found any of Nintendo's controllers to be that satisfying, and I expect this one to be no different.B♭3

You will be glad to hear that Joy of painting is coming to the DS and Revolution.
Bob Ross Inc. announced on Friday that the painting-made-simple guru would soon be immortalized in his very own video game. Sounds like perfect April Fool's fodder, right? Wrong. The untitled Bob Ross video game is being planned for the Nintendo Revolution, DS, and PC. The game has been licensed to developer AGFRAG who is currently searching for a publisher.
AGFRAG's Joseph Hatcher promised, "The Bob Ross game will utilize the unique inputs that the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Revolution have that can truly immerse the players while they learn to paint like Bob Ross." He added, "I want the community to share with us ... what they’d like to see in the NDS and Revolution games. We want to keep the brush going." Next-gen killer app, anyone?
Next stop:
- Crocodile hunter, the game "I wonder what will happen if I put my thumb up its butt?"
- NintenMaestro, conduct your own orchestra!
- NintenSlave. Whip that ass!Last edited by Nostromo; April 3, 2006, 17:23.Let us be lazy in everything, except in loving and drinking, except in being lazy – Lessing
