I am sorry to hear about your neice's rape. It is good that she is talking about it though, for so long women just wouldn't say anything because culture said it was their fault.

I know a lot of women who have been raped. If you include things like date rape, I am sure it gets to 25+%.

Childhood molestation and teen/college date-rape can probably account for the majority of the statistical third, and most cases are not officially reported.

But if you are a women's group seeking funding 25% is way too low. You need a much higher number. Fund a survey that will get the number you need (with the right questions) and the funding will come easier.
I don't deny abuse occurs, I am just very suspect of any percentage given w/o knowing the questions asked.

It's the reason why a lot of men underestimate the number of rapes.
They imagine scary men in dark alleys, that is not how most rapes are.
