Why do dogs bark so much?

You'd think their throats would get sore. And it's always the small dogs that yap constantly. Grrrr. . The funny thing is I like dogs, but I hate dogs that bark constantly. My dog doesn't bark at all hardly. I like quiet dogs. Dogs should be seen and not heard- kind of like women. . The neighbords dog is annoying me very much. But at least they don't usually put their dog out until I wake up at 10:00 AM. So I thank them for that. But occasionally their dogs will wake me up.

I need peace and quiet.

Dogs are "pack" animal. Your dog seems to be quite content with you as its pack.

My guess is that the dog next door, when it's put outside, thinks it's being excluded from it's pack...and it freaks! "Let me back in! Let me back in!" it is screaming. Take pity on the poor little dog and blow its miserable brains out.

hey i wonder if that works on the landscaping guys that get their leaf blowers out at the ungodly hour of 7 am on a saturday. No dont thin i could shoot them since i dont have a gun and if i did i wouldnt know how to use it, not to mention there is that whole shooting thing which draws a big prison sentence

My dog used to be quiet when little. Not a bark for weeks. But he grew and now every person close to our flat means barking, wild run towards the door and crushing on them.

Primary reason is that they still are alive - if you fix this, then they become more quiet.

Edit: though, if theay still are noisy after that, then you have a problem.
