I don't think it's ridiculous that 17 year old can join the service, that's a good age to join if you want to.
What's ridiculous is that even if you're 18 and in the army, the age for beer is 21. THAT is a joke. Seriously. 21? Come on..In da butt.

It's OK, with your parents' permission to join the military, the purpose of which is to shoot, kill and maim other persons.
Yet it is not OK, even with your parents' permission, to show your breasts to other human beings, the purpose of which is to make them happy and feel like making more people, to help replace the ones that the military kill.
