Don't you want smart people going into the drug industry?

You honestly think the researchers who find these new drugs get paid millions?

The guys in marketing probably make just as much as the people who actually make the drugs. And then you have the guys in the legal department, now they make oddles. Oh, and the guys in finance...

The most important steps in health care don't come from drugs for minor, or rare conditions. They comes from basci vaccinations and preventive care.

There is a reason why the socialized health care systems of Europe end up making tyhier populations healthier than our own, overall.

And where do much of their drugs come from?

So? you honestly think that drugs for the real diseases would not be around?

Besides, the point of good healthcare is making sure people are healthy enough NOT to have to take drugs. If you are forced to be taking drugs, you are already not healthy.

I prefer a health care system, not a sickness management system.

Some people just have naturally high cholesterol for example. It doesn't matter if you are even some marathon running. Some things aren't prevented well without medication.

Having high cholesterol does not mean you will die. You could manage it with a diet targeted to your biological reality.

Such drugs are about quality of life as much as sickness maintenance.

The point remains that even will al these great drugs the US trails Europe in life expenctancy. A simple measure is the fact the US is well behind most of Europe in something as basic as infant mortality. We have twice the rate of infant mortality as Japan. That is a disgrace.

                  OK.

The council said the decision requires the U.S. Department of Commerce, which imposed the duties, to revoke them. Moreover, the ruling will enable Canadian producers to go to the U.S. Court of International Trade to seek the return of the duties the U.S. has collected.
