How about role-playing? Or, for example, pretending to be in a coercive situation? There are too many gray areas here. It was illegal? Wow, that's weird. I guess it was one of those old laws that never were followed anyway? I can't see it going any other way..In da butt.

It was always (at least since I was a kid in the 1970s and 1980s) legal to have hardcore stuff, you just couldn't buy it. So obviously when our teenaged selves went on trips to Sweden or Denmark it was considered "cool" to acquire some porn to bring home.
With the latter-day ease of finding pr0n online I suppose the old rules have been seen as increasingly irrelevant. Anyway "adult entertainment" shops have been selling hardcore videos for ages, they get raided occasionally and the stuff confiscated but the police usually have better things to do with their time and the profit margin is obviously high enough for them to live with that risk.
Not that I care anymore (being engaged to marry, and everything) but at least this might make life slightly easier for those who are single and frustrated now.
