Not the issue with regards to the man's responsibility. He could try to make than arguement, hell, if he is so desperate to avoid the responsiblity, he should take her to court and demand the state declare her unfit, and him unfit as well, to make the kid a ward of the state.

The point remains, he has a responsibility inherent in the fact that there is a child who is the result of his genetic material, which he willingly gave without signing away parenting rights (like to a sperm bank).

Lesson at the end of the day, Sperm are a powerful thing. Be responsible with them.

the larger problem is, if you take away the ability of the government to force payment of child support you wind up with even poorer single mothers and even more kids with less of a chance (especially females) of getting a leg up in life.

another larger problem is youre essentially giving bodily control to people who have no responsibility if things go wrong, and who have no obligation to act responsibly with that control.

stop assuming men and women are the same and have the same rights and responsibilities. it might be un-pc but you dont believe in that **** anyway.

But women aren't always honest about whether they can have kids. That's the point. He doesn't willingly give with the chance for someone to get pregnant.
