    Wow, tonight's episode was just...classic.

    It'll stay on my PVR!

I'm wondering, is Dwight > Milton?

    So, a poll.

Ooh... tough call. Dwight just keeps getting better with every episode, though.

Thought this would be a comparison of the American against the British version.

The American version has ended up on top.

Honestly, that's the thing--the American version is over-the-top, the British one understated and dry.

I like 'em both, but I feel as if it's comparing salt and pepper--they're both seasoning, but just different enough that there's really no point.

The Mussolini speech last night was incredible. Pefect. Probably the best Dwight moment yet, maybe even topping Ryan started the fire.

They're so different; Dwight is malevolent, while Milton is a shattered husk of a man.

I saw some of the American one, the 40 Year Old Virgin guy did not seem to understand how David Brent works. But maybe he's gotten better?

Dwight pwnes Milton so bad that Milton would be too scared to ask Dwight for his stapler!

The first series was very poor IMHO. The American cast just seemed to be doing impressions of their Brit counterparts, the second series is much better.

It's more of a sit-com than the UK version, not quite as good. You couldn't switch it on by mistake and think you were watching a documentary like you could with the British one.

                          Indeed .

                          Now it is far superior.

Interestingly, Gervais is writing an episode for the 3rd season. Wonder how that will end up .

                            Far superior? Not quite.

I'd say it is now about on par with the British original. Until last night, the US version hadn't quite hit the inspired lunacy of David Brent's attempts at songwriting. But that Mussolini speech might be the watershed moment for the US version.

Yes. Far superior. This entire season has beaten down the British version. From the 'Office Olympics', to taking a concussed Dwight to the hospital (with a fried Michael's foot), to Dwight's spying on Oscar, to Dwight's Mussolini speech last night.
