Look at the sports rated last - NFL and NBA. How many of those players are from the Southern US, which has provenly lower intelligence and is socially regressive.

Oh, hicks will be hicks, but you'd think that they'd try to cover it up. I thought that homosexuality was far more accepted, with all the tv shows, and whatnot ( The only source for knowledge of north american culture, besides having a RL friend who lives there )

I'm starting to think that far fewer people watch and are affected by TV than one would assume.

Yep, it was a really dumb comment by Asher. NBA players have far less concentration in the South than MLB players would. More NBA players are immersed in black culture, which is HIGHLY religious, and thus anti-gay.

As to what is black culture, I, to this very day don't understand. Again I am looking through a magic little portal some 10k miles away, so excuse me, in advance. I blame you and your damn media:

What I see is either some people that have settled down, and feel like they became part of the establishment, but with a twist, some people who are just average folks, and some people who terrible lives in slums, become criminals, etc.

It also seems that society is somewhat more segregated than it was just a couple of decades ago. Like, it was less segregated, and uptight about all this racial issue in the 70s, than it is now.

You can live in your own little world however and pretend that the gay movement is gaining ground and that only uneducated hicks are against you.
