    anonymous proxy programs

    Anyone used them? Have not tried these programs before and am just reading up on them now. If im not mistaken, i can surf+register again even if ip banned from whatever site?

    i found a easy to use one in 5 seconds from google that is free and requires no install...that would be handy, there is a site(not poly) i need\want to use DL's at

    Remember the famous anonymous proxy in Finland and the Scientology affair. In other words: don't kid yourself. You're only anonymous if you're unimportant

        That particular case showed that when pressed, anonymous proxies will make your identity known to the authorities... even if they're located in Finland. I think a good rule for the internet is: forget anonymity and never write something you don't want your mother to read

          Lol,i have gone anonymous before...try running a VPN to a remote server puter, then take the remote server down when done...it no longer exists,and because it happens to be run by a close friend, the logs are erased. alternativly you can hack someone

              good thing i dont exist though and the only culprit is his puter

              anyway its not like some random website is going to send the FBI to see who is using that DL. i wasnt downloading warez\porn on it

                I have two such programs

                I doubt they would protect you from being found by authoritays... but it keeps you anonymous enough from website owners and such.
                To us, it is the BEAST.
