It's pretty rubbish if you get caught the day after

As Hans Gruber says in Die Hard:

If you steal $600, no one cares. But if you steal $600 million, they will find you.

Well it looks like they fubared...I think they've already got some of them...if you're going to steal that kind of money, at least do an effective job of getting away with it

It seems like they had an amazing plan, but they weren't smart enough to find a way out.

If ever I planned something like that, getting out of the country right after the theft would be my absolute priority.

I wouldn't mind, but it is hardly long a distance to France And then, escape somewhere...

Basically they should have chartered a flight in advance and gotten away to some backward country right after they stole the money.

The problem is that you can't get through airport security with such a huge amount of money. And ultimately you want to escape far away.

Well the fact is, you just can't do anything with that kind of sum of money...you've seen how quickly they were apprehended and it would take god knows how long to launder that kind of sum of money...

That's where the third world country comes in... but you need to go there in advance and prepare the terrain.

Or if you really want to rock the boat, just open a foreign exchange booth in a city you know the authorities won't bother you and give crazy rates. Like: "today's special: 3% discount on the British pound!!!"

Did GW oversee the planning on this one?

Well one of the women arrested yesterday was trying to open an account with £6,000 at bank just down the road. The tip off was that the money was still wrapped in a sheath with a Tonbridge tag on.
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.
