              • vlad, a 4th round Bonds pick is not a big risk, AFAIC.

If he'd have dropped to me in that round, I would have taken him.

                • Well seldom do I ever draft "off" my set list, but Bonds was a true "best available" player option I couldn't turn down. Even if he plays 120 games he is better than most 4th round guys and he is streaky so I can pull him off the bench once in a while to catch a streak.

                  • Bonds is a huge risk, if he plays in only 20 games or decides that he wants to quit after breaking ruths record, vlad may only get minimal stats from a fourth round guy. Bonds is a ***** and i wouldn't have picked him had he fallen to me in the last round.

                    • I'd easily have taken Bonds in the 4th round. Definately worth the pick. He'll stay the entire season. He wants to try for Aaron's.

                      • He has never stated that he wants to break Aarons, he'll try but it won't happen this season. He does want to have the most hr's ever for a left handed batter and he will get that. His OPS will be crazy because of his walk total, but he will not produce in any other category. 25 hr's 60 rbi's not fourth round material, thats fine though, better players for me.

                        • I wouldn't pick him because he offends my christian sensibilties. Damn cross dresser! :doitnow:

                          • His walk total won't be any higher than in other recent years. If he didn't get walked that much more late last year, why would it happen this time around?

                              • I think there are enough pitchers in the national league that view bonds as a plague, and with out a whole lot of protection in that lineup it would be easy to pitch around bonds. The fact that he's closing in on arguably one of the greatest records in all sports, i'm sure pitchers don't want to be the one to give up that homerun. My hope is that David Wells gets to face bonds before Ruth's record is broken, because i'm sure Wells would try to end his season.
