    Quick question: shipping from and to the EU

    I'm in France right now, and I want to order a memory module from Crucial (based in the UK).

    There is a no tariff agreement between all countries of the EU, right? So normally I should pay shipping+product+French VAT - no 'surprise' fee. Am I correct?

        Not true.

        I just bought memory from Crucial, too. You have to pay the local VAT, in your case the French (19,6 %, as shown in the shopping basket summary). No extra tariff or fee.

        I mailed my order on a Sunday afternoon. The shipment arrived on Tuesday morning.
