Reminds me of one of my Granddads stories he loved to tell. His two sons, my Dad and my uncle, were born on 19 and 20 May respectively. (No, not the same year.. ). Anyway, on the 18 May, my Granddad would casually tell two of his colleagues that tomorrow was his son's birthday. -Oh, how nice, get him something fun, etc. The next day, he'd say it again. Tomorrow's my son's birthday. -Er.. right. How nice. Hope you enjoy.. The next day, he says, yesterday was my son's birthday. -Great! Did you have a good time? And finally, the next day, same story, yesterday was my son's birthday. -Hmpf. If you say so..

He told it like they never figured out what it was all about, and it amused the old man to no end thinking about it all those years later.
