    Also my brother was in WWII in the PI. He and thousands of other were put on ships and headed north 2 times in Aug 45. Both times their ships were told to go back to the PI. The 2nd time after they were back in the PI, they were told that we had just drop a new bomb on Japan and the war should be over in a few days.
    Not hard to guess where they were going until we drop the bomb.

          Phillipines. It is the postal code for the Phillipines when it was an American colony and after independence they just kept using it.

              I imagine since wikipedia is written by common people they might have missed some or else some poeple are just adding names without verifying them.
