  • Asher I need Windows help

When I tried to open a file recieved in MSN Messenger a little while ago (a sound file) a popup said it was blocked for my safety, and offered instructions on how to unblock it...but it deleted the file! And since it was sent over messenger I couldn't just go back to a webpage and redownload it. I know the file is fine, so I got her to send it again, virus checked it just to be sure, and opened it from explorer instead of the little link that comes up in messenger when it's done sending.

I think this annoying feature is called attachment management. How do I turn it off?

I didn't see anything in windows help or in the block popup itself, and my google fu is apparently broken.

What about in MSN messenger extra->options->file transfer, unchecking the scanning files for virusses option?
