What does this mean (HR PEOPLE!)

Ok it's possible that I might get an offer to work abroad for the summer for an IT company.

As per usual, they won't give out the salary range they are going for, the only thing I get is 'comprehensive salary'. I don't understand what that means. Doesn't sound too good. I mean, comprehensive, as in do you comprehend? or does it have other meanings as well?

The problem is I don't want to spend all the salary paying rent and that kind of stuff, and leave with 0 euros to my name. It could be cool working in another country for the summer, but not if the price is purely experience .

Comprehensive usually means "all-encompassing" or something similar.

My guess it it covers your living expenses as well.

Yeah, I imagine that UR is right. It means that they'll only pay you your salary and that you'll have to pay for everything out of that, so you won't get subsistence allowance or anything like that.
You might think this is a bad thing, but it does mean that you can go and eat really cheaply and make more money out of it than you would have done if they'd given you a lower salary and paid expenses. (In theory )

It likely means that it will come with a benifets package; I.E. health care & retirement savings plan. Likely UR is also currect about them throwing in some sort of apartment for you to live in while you are there.

Ask in the interview. It's a good thing to ask questions in interviews - and in this case useful for you too

My guess is either they meant Competitive and mistyped, which things like that happen disturbingly often, or actually the opposite of DoY - that they mean that they'll cover your living expenses there and travel expenses. (Assuming it's an advert that KNOWS you're going to be working abroad, and not an advert FROM abroad)
