Watched the national news tonight. Despite a big political scandal involving the new government and an attack on Canadian troops in Afganistan, here were the top six stories:

1. Wayne Gretzky involved in gambling ring
2. Canadian hockey team at Turin Olympics
3. Montreal Canadiens goalie tests positive for banned substance
4. New anti-doping challenges at the Turin games, as it may affect Canadian athletes
5. Scandal engulfs new Canadian government
6. Canadian troops attacked by suicide bomber in Afganistan

Sort of, but I don't think the "controversy" of the Emerson thing, or the Mulroney thing matter at all to anyone.
