Learn to overcome the crass demands of flesh and bone, for they warp the matrix through which we perceive the world. Extend your awareness outward, beyond the self of body, to embrace the self of group and the self of humanity. The goals of the group and the greater race are transcendant, and to embrace them is to acheive enlightenment.

A picometer is 10^-12 m, an angstrom is 10^-10 m and a manometer measures pressure

Approximately 1850 meters to the nautical mile

              4) If a viking talked about Vinland which part of the world was he referring to?

The current best guess is that he'd be talking about Newfoundland, but there is some wild speculation that it might have referred to any part of Northeastern North America as far south as Massachussets

              Terminator

              8) Who was the first to claim that the Earth rotated around the sun and not vice versa?

I don't know if anybody else did prior to him, but I'll guess Copernicus

              9) Who apart from Spencer Tracy is the only other actor to win an Academy Award for best actor two years running?

              Tom Hanks. Blech.

              Uh...1910s?

              14) What do you find in the center of our galaxy?

I guess you're referring to the theory of the galactic black hole. That is far from certainty, at least AFAIK

              15) Who is the only american president who has been president for more than two terms?

              FDR

Who the **** is Larry Hagman?

              18) What island is the worlds second largest?

That's a question of definitions. In order, the top three are (if you include Australia)
              Australia
              Greenland
              New Guinea

              19) H2SO4 / H2O4S is the chemical formula for what acid?
