    User error...

Calgary is the site of five major public post-secondary institutions. The University of Calgary is Calgary's primary large degree-granting facility. Currently, nearly 30,000 students are enrolled there.

Someone has been busy Two days ago "university of Calgary" gave no hits in wiki.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

        Are you for real?

I stand by my comment on your ineptitude with computers.

The "University of Calgary" page has existed since September 23, 2002.

How can you write library systems if you're incapable of searching for things by their titles on Wikipedia? Honestly -- are Danish standards that low, or are you the best they have?

Well, BlackCat is the one who called my incompetent because I told I usually just setup things and never read the manual, unless it doesn't work. He was like, professionals are always very organized and they will execute things professionally and there's no room for that kind of attitude if you want to be a pro.

And I was like wtf, I'm not building a nuclear site here... Then I laughed that it's not like that outside the printer carrying job in the offices so he claimed to be a pro and that I will be forever be an amateur because I'm not super organized and read the manuals.

So I'd take his word with grain salt when it comes to these things, my guess is he dropped one printer today and it just might have been his boss', so he could have been told off today and now he's taking it on you.

He must not use very complicated things if he has time to read the manuals.

The IBM C++ Compiler manual is over 1500 pages. The IBM C++ Compiler Language Reference is over 2000 pages extra.

I sincerely doubt anyone has read that full thing. They're still fixing typos and non-working code examples that have been in the manual since the early 80s.

Right, I think it was in the line of.. I sometimes get in trouble because I didn't read the manual and then have to fix it later, adn that was the atmosphere.. yeah. Well I do and I still do, but rarely get in trouble because of it. But I do.

I mean you have the .. grasp of things so you don't need to read the manuals, except for few references you run along the way, that's my motto anyway. Not a very good one but hey.. beats carrying printers from office A to office B for a living.

I'm not the one who didn't open up the machine because the label said 'do not open'. I'm not the one who didn't try things that were clearly impossible with it, and I'm definitely the one who smashed it later on. And then fixed it. I'm not the one who read the manual before hooking up the VCR, and I'm not the one who says 'don't try that, you might break it'.

IF I'm at a nuclear site, or spending someone elses money, THEN I will not try to do it . But I'd rather learn by testing and doing than reading. Of course in certain things you need to read quite much before you can try.

Well, it was actually possible to find it if you knew that you had to spell it as "university_of_calgary", but how may users would know that ?

Maybe I should have posted in that thread where you battled about UofC instead of laughing

If you try to find University of Calgary, then you type what into the search box? How about University of Calgary? I tried it too, hit it right away.

Gosh BlackCat, you're such a Dane! And no, you don't need to type the '_' letters there, because you can see the result 100% right there, and that's because it hits other articles too than just that one.

Even if you type in "UofC" to Wikipedia, the link to the University of Calgary entry appears under "Results".

And you don't need to spell it "university_of_calgary"...just typing University of Calgary suffices...

(For reference, while the University of Calgary an the University of Calgary Students' Union show up when you search for "UofC", nowhere on that list do you see the University of Chicago )

Pekka, you are quite right, you can do it now, but as i wrote - you couldn't a couple of days ago

You may not like me, but that doesn't make me stupid I may have fcked up not checking today, but when I say that a couple of day ago you got another result, then it true - I have a bad habit of not lying.

I'm sorry, BlackCat, that is complete BS.

Go and play with your library toy computers and leave the real computer work to professionals.

Ok, Asher. You are hereby allowed to put a feather into your hair. I cannot prove without severe difficulties that the search registers of wiki has changed.

Anyway, That was only the btw. I still have fun of of the OP.
