You made a chauvinistic, sexist, obtuse, tasteless joke or you made a chauvinistic, sexist, obtuse remark which you sincerely mean.
Which one is it?A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

Political correctness is no longer the monopoly of senseless liberals -- now senseless conservatives can claim a share of political correctness.

For the record, the capitol police has now admitted that it stepped beyond its bounds when it arrested Sheehan and the Republican wife (I really should know her name). Sheehan is now sueing the capitol police for first ammendment violations. All in all, I'd say it wasn't the best thing that could happen to Bush's SOTU."Remember, there's good stuff in American culture, too. It's just that by "good stuff" we mean "attacking the French," and Germany's been doing that for ages now, so, well, where does that leave us?" - Elok

Does it really matter? I doubt you're going to approve of my behavior either way and I know I'm not going to care about what you think...
Is this the same person who just said this:
In his defense, he never said that he was against political correctness. I think he just disapproves of conservatives horning in on his schtick.KH FOR OWNER!

What does that have to do with 'the Republican majority'?
It just seems very convient to "make a mistake" and have her arrested knowing she won't be released until after the speech is over. Why wasn't the other woman wearing a t-shirt arrested? Why only Sheehan? Yes, it looks like politics was at play.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Which one? The 1992 coup attempt? Yes it failed and he got sent to prison for it. Then he was given a pardon and decided that winning elections was the only way he could ever effect change.
from Wikipedia:
He won the Carter Center-endorsed 1998 presidential election on December 6, 1998 with 56.2% of the vote.
Chávez's widespread popularity allowed his mid 1999 constitutional referendum to pass with a 71.78% "yes" vote.
In the second election, members of Chávez's MVR and select allied parties formed the Polo Patriotico ("Patriotic Pole"). Chávez's Polo Patriotico went on to win 95% (120 out of the total 131) of the seats in the voter-approved Venezuelan Constitutional Assembly.
The new constitution was presented to the national electorate in December 1999 and approved with a CNE-audited 71.78% "yes" vote.
2000 election. Chávez's coalition garnered a commanding two-thirds majority of seats in the National Assembly while Chávez was reelected with 59.76% of the votes.
Then there was a coup.... against Chavez... but it failed.
Then the 2004 recall referendum. Recall Hugo Chavez? 59.10% of voters said "No".
Some ****ing dictator eh?
Apparently not. He's been voted in several times now. Only the loony right have laid charges that the elections were fixed.
Chavez has a Sunday morning talk show. He takes questions from the audience and from phone calls. Ever see Shrub do that?
As opposed to his opposition who use their TV stations all the time to harangue the country to get rid of him, and call him names like "the ******" on air.
Call Chavez what you like, but the caricature of him in the dumb American media is far from the truth.
Chavez is a threat! He tried a military coup! And everyone that has done that has been a scumbag!
You know like GEORGE WASHINGTON

Who the hell cares? Maybe she annoyed the cop. The point is that she got a chance to hang on past her allotted 15 minutes of fame and people have a chance to blather on about a faux contraversy as if it might be important. A win all around for her.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara
