Hmm, true. But it's interesting in the light of Kennedy being senile in the Alito hearings too. He confused Alito with Joseph Alioto, former mayor of San Francisco. He couldn't read his own notes and Feinstein had to help him. And best of all, he accused Alito of being too influenced by the Goldwater Presidency.
(Incidentally, if Goldwater actually had become president, Alito would have been about 14 and a half.)
