Alternatively, I'd take the med option. If it's what you wanted to do at first, plus it's a good paycheck and not selling out, I'd say it covers all the bases.

I'm starting to realise that nearly all aspects of chemistry sucks for pay aswell ... why it took so long i don't know, probably too much media and people telling me "wow scientists, they're smart, i bet they get paid loads".

A levels, worked for a few years in labs getting a promotion and an HNC in the process and now at uni comfortably doing a Chem degree *sigh* the subject i like but money i like more, and after spending 5years getting down this route i can imagine the grief i'd get if i turned around now and tried to start something new.

Thats really the industry you want to be in and B. If an MBA is really the optimal degree for the kinds of jobs you would want in that industry.

That is true. Companies are also going to be a little tentative highering you if you have that MBA and no experience.

I've got a Chemical Engineering BS and 7 years of experience. If I do this MBA thing I'll have 9-10 years experience on top of the degrees. Which will be golden.

You want to see the average salaries 20 years down the track for a real comparison.
