Virgin Mary Image Appears After House Fire

An apparent image of the Virgin Mary appeared to a family in the western Maine town of Mexico after a fire destroyed most of their home.

The Dennis family noticed the gold image after their home located on Burton Street caught fire and nearly burned to the ground.

Veronica Dennis said she immediately knew that the image was of the Virgin Mary when she entered the home.

"I entered through the door of the burnt-out room and it hit me right in the face," Dennis said. "Wow, it was amazing. It looked like a shiny gold. It was definitely there for me to see."

The fire left Dennis and her two daughters without a place to live. However, the image has given the family some faith that everything will be OK, according to the report.

"It's just a sign saying that we're going be OK," Dennis said. "We're going to get through this and that someone is watching over us."

The image has created a stir in religious circles and several visitors have already come by to take photos, according to the report.

"From what I saw, it was more dramatic than I expected," Monsignor Michael Henchal said.

Dennis planned to cut out the image and post it in her house when it is rebuilt.

1.) If God wanted you to know everything was going to be OK, why did he burn your house down in the first place?

2.) Anyone ever notice that images of the Virgin Mary are not unlike images of, I don't know...stains, burns, chemical reactions, clouds, that sort of thing?

3.) What happens if 6 months down the line these people are still homeless? Has God betrayed them?

4.) There's a Mexico in Florida? There's a Maine in Florida? Can't you people come up with your own names?

You don't understand Christian theology at all. If you read the Bible, you can clearly see that God is an evil, sadistic sob. Mary swore things would be different for her son, and raised him to be gentle and loving. God, pissed off that his son was such a pansy, actually killed him.

Now God goes around f*cking up peoples lives and, occasionally, Mary drops by later to apologize for her azzhole husband.

It's all pretty simple, really, and should sound familiar to anyone who's watched a lot of Jerry Springer.

God set everything in motion. He knows everything. He knew that by setting everything in motion, that somehow, a series of events would occur that would lead to that fire. Therefore, God is responsible for the fire.

Here is man trying to explain God. Why would God allow an Airplane with 300 people in it crash? Just maybe he is using that plane to return those people to be at his side.
How many times do most of you need to remember that our life on earth is just temp. Our real life will be in the here after and it will have no end. You get it, life for ever with no end.

And this man fails to realize I am a Christian, and in no way trying to "explain" God.

I'm just wondering how people can attribute a chemical reaction in a piece of wood to a sign from God. Of course, in this case it is more understandable...it's not like she saw it in a waffle. Basically, why doesn't the Virgin Mary show up wherever death and/or distruction happens to let the grieving and the displaces know its "all gonna be alright"?
