Playing for time, I'll take West Harrow. Not overly ambitious, but it seals off the North West portion of the Metropolitan line, unless of course... no, I shall say nothing. Best conserve what shunts I have left.

          Cockfosters.

I even had to cheat to ensure that it made it past the 'poly censor. Got to be a good move if that's the case.

Bush got in trouble for saying "Paki". I guessing it's not liked because it has a diminutive "you're inferior" quality to it, somewhat like calling a black guy "Boy".

Yeah, but the British-born Pakistanis were trying to reclaim it last year. A little like rappers have reclaimed ******. I'm all for it.
I'd never use the word, and only use the word ****** to take the p*ss out of certain, less talented, rappers. Besides, whigga's so much funnier!

Odin, either make your move or start a new thread about diminutive expressions. This is a Mornington Crescent (no, although I wish it was, this is not my next move ) thread now.

On that note I think that after my last move I will be able to compete again with Narrow-on-the-Hill. I haven't seen this played for some years now but I think that it has potential. And it will save me my precious nisbets.

Ok, now I'm confused - are you claiming that there are rules in this ????????
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Well how the hell would we be playing if there weren't any rules?

Actually, I found you getting qiute well without rules - at least that made sense

When you now claims that there are rules, you don't make sense anymore.

Thanks for the travel offer. Alas, on this side of the big ditch we have a little thing known as employment which seriously eats into our leisure time. My patients insist that I be here for them. Some people are so selfish.

You kidding? The black-on-black violence in Birmingham makes Rwanda in 1994 look like teletubbies on valium!

If I got to certain areas in the North and let it be known that I have a Jewish surname, the next place you see me will be an obituary in someones sig.

To be fair, most of the problems nowadays are in the North with some exceptions; London's come a long way since the dark days of the early 80's. People in the south are richer and generally better.

This can be generously described as "a pretty dumb thing to say". I'll leave it at that.

Which areas? When was the last time you were in the North? If you were going to end up with a OB, and were determined to achieve this on a trip north of Watford, then in the places you might actually be stabbed the people stabbing you wouldn't give a toss whether you're Jewish or not, only what you'd got in your wallet. And it wouldn't be linked to racial minorities - only the majority that are the poor.

I regularly visit Manchester, York and Newcastle because of friends and relatives at uni. In Manchester, there's a considerable amount of tension among certain elements in the Muslim community with the Jewish community there.

What's with the 0/10? People who are rich are generally better, less crime, better education, more interesting, better looking because of less inbreeding within the community (it's why places that are historically multicultural have more attractive girls).
