  • Happy Anniversary, Mr. P!

Congratulations on your 5th anniversary today, you old cowboy.

You know who you are. No need to dwell on that. And thanks for staying on so long.

Around here, most people's reaction to your having made it so far has been a source of endless entertainment to the rest of us. You get partial credit for that!

Oh, congratulations also to the President of the Philippines, Mrs. Gloria Arroyo, on her 5th Anniversary today.

Hmm...Bush and Arroyo, five years later:

    Both children of former presidents
Both had everything in their lives handed to them
Both are intolerant of divergent opinions
Both have been accused, credibly, of stealing elections
Both face overwheming negative approval ratings
Both insist their doing just fine

    Yup, quite a pair

A happy birthday to Mr Bush! Birthdays being a concept he can actually understand.

Oh, wait, it's his anniversary of starting his job, not his birthday. Sorry. I misunderestimated the thread title.

It's ok, it's the thought that counts.
