Most homeless people are physically and psychologically incapable of defending themselves effectively (both as a cause and an effect of their homelessness). This is like kicking the **** out of a kid in a wheelchair.

Ted Striker, I might agree to an extent. The bumhunter etc were supposed to be funny in shocking, decadent kind of way, ala clockwork orange.

I personally felt disgusted. I didn't think it was funny, it was abusing people who are the weakest in our society, and that is by any standards some evil ****.

Those kids who do this aren't even to be settled with a beating. They should really get something coming for them. I'd fully support giving some weapons to homeless people. Let them shoot those punks if they attack. Or have undercover cops, dressed as homeless people, hunting for these teens, and when they show up 'freeze, police!' and when they run, shoot thme in the back.

It really says a lot about the values of these people. They have none. It's bad enough to have punks who have no respect for others property and rights, being idiots and disturbing the peace, but this is like the weakest thing you could possibly do. Beat the ones who are already down.

Truly disgusting And I hope those bumfights video makers have sense to take some responsibility, even when they can't be directly blamed, they should think about the consequences if they make yet another video.

WHY are these PUNKS ALWAYS white teen boys, from middle class or higher families? WTF?! I hope society gets them sooner or later, but the law of karma will bite their ass at some point for sure. Guaranteed.

Zkribbler, I don't know, the same time it became so funny that you had to laugh your guts out when you saw homeless people beaten in a video.

I think it's some kind of natural reaction though, everyone is shocked at first, thne you get used to it, and then you kind of laugh to it. Maybe it's a mental defense method of undeveloped mind, I don't know. But it emphasizes the lack of caring, or losing it, that is replaced with appreciation for this clockwork orange type of humor.

Why do they loathe homeless people, or do they loathe them? Soem might do it no matter what, for kicks, and some might loathe them, after being fed some nice propaganda ala third reich.

I don't know if you have this in Finland, but in Canada the British gave us this 'great' invention called the "Class System", which is based on priveledges and oppression.

Thats okay. When I typed that response I was wondering if I might have taken you out of context. I would have been harder if I thought you really meant that.

Yeah.. I meant that those kids who beat up the homeless people could be the stereotypes of those kids who buy those bumfights videos and laugh at them, find it funny and entertaining.

So, that was what my response means, that when that became something people do, laugh at that, that's also when this kind of action has started happening and become entertainment for some sick individuals.

To some extent this is an extension of the environment that many teenagers are living in. It's about deciding who is in and who is out, and the stakes for the losers are very high. Kicking the sh!t out of someone is at least some sort of sick validation that you aren't on the absolute bottom of the power pyramid at the moment.
