Don't be obtuse. These people want to kill us, we killed them. We also may have killed some bystanders, and we certainly will in the future. It is regretable, but the only people who could distinguish and discriminate in target selction in this area are the members of the tribe for this area, and instead of taking al qaeda out themselves, they welcomed them into their home.Last edited by Whoha; January 25, 2006, 19:19.

1) There still is no confirmation anyone from Al Queda was killed.
2) Even if there was, the original point stands --> Killing Al Queda Junior G Badge level Operative 389473 never makes up killing a bunch innocent people who had nothing to do with it.
All you have shown is that you're okay with us knowingly targeting a house full of innocent WOMEN AND CHILDREN if it might kill a few terrorists. (Who again, have never been confirmed to be ther in the first place).
Even if Osama himself was in there.
Congratulations guys.
So there was a news article when someone said that Al Queda "may have been" in the area. So, who cares? We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution. - Abraham Lincoln

The fanatical and irrational whining by techumseh and Mobius at the beginning of this thread is now exposed for what it is. Even Pakistan has admited that the attack didn't kill children as Mobius claimed and it instead killed five foreigners who were members of Al Qaeda. The dead include:
Five foreigners were killed in the US attack," Gen Musharraf told tribal leaders in north-western Pakistan, the Associated Press news agency reports.
"One of them was a close relative of Ayman al-Zawahri and the other man was wanted by the US and had a US$5 million (4.19 million euro) reward on his head."
He did not name the foreigners who had died in the attack.
Shortly after the raid, unconfirmed intelligence reports said three high-ranking al-Qaeda members were among those killed in the raid on a village in the Bajaur Agency region on the border with Afghanistan.
They named Egyptian bomb expert Midhat Mursi - information on whose whereabouts carries a $5m US bounty.
They also named Abdul Rehman al-Misri al-Maghribi, the son-in-law of Zawahiri and reputed head of the al-Qaeda's media operations.
The third person named was Abu Obaidah al-Misri, al-Qaeda's head of operations in Kunar province, just over the border in eastern Afghanistan.
It seems it was a good operation after all.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Hey Oerdin, what drugs are you on mate cos there is NOTHING in your link that says "Even Pakistan has admited that the attack didn't kill children"...
So lets see, delusional assumptions, inability to count - apparently 5 = 18 in Oerdin's universe...
Seems to me the person round here who's lost the plot is you - everything in my initial posts still stands. Not that I can be bothered to check but the rest of my posts were on the lines of the US blundering its attempt to capture the Al Qaeda leaders before they left Afghanistan etc...
So five Al Qaeda dudes did get killed - plenty more where they came from, how many got recruited to the cause just by hearing about the US' illegal attack...?
Just like there'll be plenty more women and children caught in the crossfire no doubt...

Not much detail concering the other 18 dead.
I wonder how many would've died if we'd sent in the Marines? Or if the Pakistanis had sent in their security forces? No way to know, of course.
